You Zhenglin is Professor of Sociology at China University of Political Science and Law. He received his B.S. and Master’s degree from Peking University, his Ph.D.in sociology from the Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Social Science. He teaches Sociology of Work, Social Statistics, and Statistical Software Applications. His research focuses on Chinese trade unions and labor relations. He is the author of The Workers in the State-Owned West Factory (2007) and The Local-Government’s Soft–Regulation of Labor Relations (2014), and a contributor to numerous professional journals.
